Football for Hope is a movement that uses the power of the game for social development. It is led by FIFA and streetfootballworld, a centre of expertise that supports a global network of local organisations in the field of development through football.
The movement was established in 2005 to bring together, support, advise and strengthen organisations working towards sustainable social development in the following focus areas: health promotion, peacebuilding, children’s rights & education, anti-discrimination & social integration and the environment.
Football for Hope is collaborating worldwide with best-practice organisations working in the field of
Development through Football. During the “Call for Project Proposals”, selected organisations are invited to submit projects to be supported through the Football for Hope Programme Support.
Football for Hope has selected AMANDLA to receive support due to its organisational capacity and excellent proposal.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has identified AMANDLA EduFootball as implementation and research partner in establishing a best-practise model for violence prevention and reduction. The ICRC provides support for AMANDLA EduFootball programming and has undertaken a 3-year research study of the violence-reduction impact on AEF beneficiaries.

In 2012 the Oliver Kahn Foundation and AMANDLA sealed a 5-year cooperation with the aim of developing and implementing a coaching programme focusing on personal development and motivation. Oliver Kahn former world's best goalkeeper and captain of the German national football team developed a motivational programme (‘Du packst es!’) for youth including 11 steps to achieve dreams and goals.

The Philipp Lahm-Foundation of the captain of the German national football team and the FC Bayern Munich has been supporting several sports for education projects since 2007 in Germany and South Africa. In Partnership with the foundation AMANDLA EduFootball implements its successful ‘football for education’ programme at the “Shongi Soccer” project, situated south of Johannesburg. We are very thankful for the fruitful and trusting partnership.

The Rotary Clubs of the ‘Inntal-Alliance’ (RC Kufstein, RC Rosenheim, RC Rosenheim-Innstadt, RC Wasserburg) generously contributed to our programmes in 2011. In partnership with the South African ‘RC am Kap’ and the international Rotary Foundation they are funding our innovative Tutoring Programme “HomeWork” in 2012 for disadvantaged children in Cape Town. We are very thankful for this ongoing support!
EMpower - The Emerging Markets Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that ties the resources of Emerging Markets (EM) professionals world-wide with the vitality of community-based social sector initiatives in developing countries. EMpower connects the emerging markets community with local organizations providing tools and resources to enable at-risk young people to lead healthy and productive lives.

The CTC Ten Foundation was created in 2007 to honour the memory of Chris Campbell with the goal of creating an artificial turf facility in Khayelitsha, SA. With the help of Franklin and Marshall and various other donors, CTC Ten fundraised enough money to build the Chris Campbell Memorial Field, which AMANDLA initiated and manages. CTC Ten is providing AMANDLA with ongoing financial programme support.

Dr Christian Schulze supports AMANDLA EduFootball on a regular bassis with his legendary fundraising campaign "Dr Schulze doubles up!". We appreciate his ongoing and generous support!

Soccer Shots is a soccer programme in the United States for 3-8 years old to introduce them to the game of soccer with placing a high emphasis on character development as well.
Thousands of children throughout the United States each year experience the fun and excitement of Soccer Shots! Amandla is very thankful for their ongoing donations which they generate through their soccer camps fees.

AMANDLA's target demographic is youth staying in residential childcare facilities in South Africa. Exact figures on how many youth are currently placed in residential facilities is not available. However, according to the Children Count ZA institute 18.6% of all children in South Africa are orphaned which does not include children in need of care due to alternative circumstances.
